Executive officer and director pay packages have come under increased scrutiny in recent years. Institutional analysts, individual investors,
shareholders and corporate stakeholders want visibility into how corporations compensate their top executives and members of their
board of directors. Corporations find themselves needing to comply with recently enacted laws, such as the Sarbanes-Oxley Act, which are
intent on strengthening corporate governance and providing accountability for pay packages. There is strong interest in executive
compensation and how an individual’s pay package compares to industry peers and relative stock performance.
